Casting the He-Man movie: 5 actors who should NOT be He-Man

It's been a while since I tackled the casting for the upcoming He-Man / Masters of the Universe movie. Turns out that Sony is not pursuing the movie anymore.  Mattel announced their own film division in the past couple of weeks. So, it's still possible a He-Man movie gets made.  In fact, maybe the Mattel film division would put more focus on the movie. I'm somewhat happy about this because Sony seems like a cluster --- to put it mildly. I'm hoping Mattel is a little more organized and can help get a He-Man movie made, regardless of which studio it ends up working with. Assuming a He-Man movie does still happen, today, I present you with something a little different. Instead of people who should be considered for the role, I'm giving you 5 actors who should NOT be cast as He-Man Mike O'Hearn He's not a realistic choice anyway, so I'm not concerned that he'll get the role, but he's certainly been expressing interest in getti...

Actors who have had multiple super hero roles

Several stars have had multiple roles in super hero movies or television shows. It’s bound to happen with so many different super hero offerings these days. Whether it’s on Netflix, on cable, in the theaters or on another subscription service, there is a lot of super hero content being churned out by Hollywood right now. That being said, there's a surprising number of actors who have I'm not the biggest fan when actors are cast as different roles in the same super hero universe. If it's one role in a DC movie and another role in a Marvel movie, that's different. However, I still like to see fresh faces. So which actors can Hollywood not seem to get enough of? Which actors keep showing up in the super hero genre? There's actually quite a few. I'm missing a few of the more minor roles, but here are 14 examples of actors who just couldn't stay away from the super hero genre. Josh Brolin This is his year. After making cameos in various Mar...

Captain America: Civil War – reviewed.

I went to see Captain America: Civil War on opening day and, I have to say, it was great! Yet another good outing for Marvel here. Let's get this out of the way right away: stay until the end -- the very end. There are mid and post-credit scenes. Also, no spoilers here, so don't worry. There were only a couple of minor nitpicks, but, outside of that, I’m not complaining. So I'm not even going to mention those.  They were very minor. I didn’t really know what to expect --- other than the fact that Cap’ does battle with Iron Man, which the previews indicated.  I’m well aware that there’s a popular graphic novel with the Civil War concept, but, growing up, I never bought that many comic books – not the newer ones anyway.  I wasn’t familiar with much of the Civil War story arc.  I did briefly Wikipedia the comic book version of Civil War about a year ago, but I didn’t want to spoil the movie, so I didn’t read too much about it. I’ve seen all of Marv...
