So ... who should be the next James Bond?

Since it appears that Idris Elba won't be taking up the role of James Bond (he would've done a great job at it!) when Daniel Craig retires from it, here are a few other options: Who would you prefer? Tom Hiddleston  (37 years old) from: Westminster, United Kingdom Thanks to his role as the villain-turned-hero-turned-villain-turned-hero as Loki in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Hiddleston has become a very recognizable name and even more recognizable face. Despite his Marvel success, he hasn't necessarily had that breakout movie yet. Kong: Skull Island was good, but the movie didn't break any records. Taking up the iconic role of James Bond would be a nice counterbalance to one of Marvel's best and most well-developed villains, especially if he won't be in any more Marvel movies. Hiddleston would be a fine choice to replace the 50-year-old Daniel Craig. The only thing is: if there are concerns about Idris Elba (45-years-old) playing James Bond, ...

Casting the He-Man movie: Skeletor

Alright, I figured I'd better finish my series of blogs on potential casting choices for the upcoming He-Man movie before the movie is actually out! So, jumping back onto the saddle, let's talk Skeletor. He's one of the most important choices in this movie. Maybe even more important than He-Man. Christian Bale was a good Batman. Almost everyone can agree on that. But I've never met anyone who doesn't think Heath Ledger was an amazing Joker. That's the way I see it with Skeletor. He's He-Man's arch-rival. He's the villainous part of the story. Every good story needs a good villain and, in this one, Skeletor is it. If the movie's decision-makers choose wisely, it could take the movie up another notch. Who to choose? Here are a few people I've come up with: Daniel Radcliffe I'm not sure what age range the rest of the cast is, but there's always a benefit to going young in movies where there's a potential to...

Skyfall - reviewed.

Thanks to the amazing Cinemark 10 in Matthews, I went to see a matinee of Skyfall for $2. I just re-watched the previous two Daniel Craig Bond movies as well, so the timing was perfect. I owned Casino Royale on DVD, but it was still packaged. It was a $5 Big Lots purchase. When I saw Quantum of Solace in the $5 bin at WalMart, I figured it’d be a good time to get that one too. I unwrapped them both, had a mini-Bond marathon and then went to see the new one. Skyfall started off with a typical chase scene, but soon evolved into a cool rooftop motorcycle chase, and eventually a battle on the top of a train – all within the first 10 minutes of the movie! So much for typical. At that point the inconceivable happens – Bond takes a bullet and goes down. If it weren’t for the fact that the movie is about James Bond, I would have thought he had died. They made the scene very dramatic. The opening sequence was very visual. Adele and Paul Epworth did a nice job with the ...
