My 2023 Royal Rumble Wish List

Surprise entrants in the Royal Rumble are always one of the highlights of that event. Sometimes, WWE management lets the fans down by failing miserably at the booking. 2020, in particular, was an awful year for the men's Royal Rumble. Edge was the big surprise return, and that was definitely awesome, but no other surprises (big or small) happened in that match. I'm not entirely sure what will happen at this year's Royal Rumble. It's the first Rumble under Triple H's management (assuming that Vince McMahon doesn't regain creative control before then). Really, anything could happen. I'm assuming Shane McMahon won't be an entrant or involved in any of the planning, but Bad Bunny, Logan Paul, The Rock, or John Cena could all show up. I'm assuming Cody Rhodes returns, but that's more of an expected surprise. I would honestly not mind if he didn't take part in the Rumble and showed up the following night on Raw, or a few days later on Smackdown, t...

WWE Hall of Fame suggestions through 2031

The new year means a few things: new year's resolutions.  Award shows.  The Super Bowl. For wrestling fans it also means a few things: the Royal Rumble, the road to Wrestlemania and ... Hall of Fame inductions. One of the best nights of the year has become the night of the Hall of Fame ceremony.  Colorful speeches, fun road stories and seeing wrestlers of yesteryear are all part of the night that kicks off Wrestlemania weekend. Here are a few of my ideal Hall of Fame classes The years aren't exact, but a rough timeline of what I think would work out well 2020 (in Tampa): The Rock (headlining, obviously) Christian (he's from Tampa) Jushin Thunder Liger (he's retiring this month) Vader Taz Molly Holly 2021: The Undertaker Rob Van Dam The British Bulldog Jim Cornette Victoria 2022: The Big Show The Steiner Brothers Cyndi Lauper (Celebrity Wing) Eric Bischoff Goldust Luna Vachon 2023: Batista Rob Van Dam Paul Heyman (I assume he'll...

Bumblebee - reviewed.

Just when you thought the Transformers franchise had jumped the shark and was dead, they go and make one of the best Transformers movies there was. I liked Transformers . Transformers 2 was a little long. Transformers 3 seemed to follow too many superhero movie stereotypes. Age of Extinction had the awesome dinobots and they did a good enough job with Mark Wahlberg's character, but it didn't have the same magic as the first movie. The Last Knight was interesting, but wasn't amazing . Rather than go forward, they went the prequel route with an origin story for Bumblebee . How did the Transformers end up on Earth and how did Bumblebee lose his voice? It's all explained in Bumblebee .  It makes sense that Bumblebee is the main focus since he's been, arguably, the biggest focus in the Transformers franchise so far. Optimus Prime is the Transformers' leader, but Bumblebee is the connection to the humans in the last five movies. Bumblebee follows t...

WWE Elimination Chamber 2017 commentary

Updated @ 11:02 pm Match 7: Elimination Chamber Match - continued Wyatt is going vicious with the ground-and-pound on Styles. Styles hits a sliding dropkick to Wyatt's left knee.  Forearm and a cover, but no luck. Wyatt back bridges up though.  Sister Abigail attempt, but AJ counters. Phenomenal Blitz by Styles, but he's clotheslined by Wyatt. 450 by Styles on Wyatt, but that doesn't do it. Styles removes his elbow pad.  Jumps up but Sister Abigail. 1, 2, 3 -- Bray Wyatt wins! Winner: Bray Wyatt (new WWE World Heavyweight Champion) I'm surprised, but I'll take it.  Hopefully he does good things in his reign --- Updated @ 10:57 pm M atch 7: Elimination Chamber Match - continued All three men are down on the mat right now.  Sister Abigail on John Cena.  Wyatt eliminates Cena!! --- Updated @ 10:56 pm M atch 7: Elimination Chamber Match - continued AJ Styles and Wyatt team up (or appear to) for ...
