AEW has hinted at introducing women's tag team titles for years, but now is the time for Tony Khan to make the move. Currently, the combined AEW and ROH rosters equals about 40 different women. Granted, a lot of the women on the roster page are pregnant, out on maternity leave Ruby Soho), aren't wrestlers (Mother Wayne, Karen Jarrett), haven't been seen in ages (Madison Rayne, Riho, Nyla Rose) or are injured (Harley Cameron). Still, it's impossible to feature all of them every week on TV. Women's tag matches happen quite frequently already, but titles would give those matches at least a little more purpose. So, why now?
