Star Trek: Into Darkness teaser released

So who is excited for the new Star Trek movie?

It seems like it's been ages since the Star Trek brand was reworked on the big screen. Star Trek, starring Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto and Zoe Saldana, was released in 2009.

I guess it will be about five years old by the time the sequel goes to theatres.

The movie poster looks akin to The Dark Knight Rises, but doesn't really give many clues as to what will happen in the film.

The new teaser trailer for Star Trek: Into Darkness that was just released gives us a little more information.

I've always been more of a Star Wars fan, but the trailer looks cool. It seems J.J. Abrams is going all out with this new threat that the crew of the Enterprise will face. In the teaser, there's a shot of what appears to be the Enterprise, crashing down into the ocean.

I'm not sure what other plots will be brought into the film, but it looks like the overall plot will be the threat of someone destroying Earth. The responsibility to save the planet will, of course, lie on the shoulder's of Captain Kirk, Spock and company. The trailer didn't feature much of Spock though, which seemed odd. I'm assuming he'll play as big a role as he did last time around, but I guess we'll see when the movie is released.

I'm trying not to keep too up-to-date with the plot and the cast of the movie, so I'm anxious to find out who this new villain is and why he, all by himself, is such a threat to the planet.

All in all, I guess it's a successful trailer. It caught my interest and, most importantly, the entire plot wasn't revealed. I hate it when movie previews leave me with no reason to watch the actual movie.

What do you think? Disappointed or excited? Take a look at the trailer and leave a comment.

Celebrity (look-a-like) sightings - part 3

Part 1 and Part 2 were good, but I think there's some definite look-a-likes this time around. I'll get right to the comparisons, but let me know what you think? Am I spot on or what? I saved the very best (and closest comparison) for last this time, so make sure to scroll to the bottom of the page. On the left: Edge On the right: Jamie Campbell Bower May as well start with a wrestling-related one. It seems those pro wrestlers have doppelgängers all over. I'd mentioned before that Wilson Bethel resembles Edge . I still stand by that statement. However, I think Jamie Campbell Bower looks even more like Edge. Jamie Bower, for those who are unaware like I was, is an actor who has quite an impressive resume already. I just watched The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones (review to come later) and that's the first time I saw him...or so I thought. Jamie was in the final three Twilight movies, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Parts 1 and 2 , and t...

Choosing a side on DVD menu's -- what's the point?

Most DVDs go to a menu screen after you’re done hearing about ‘the cloud,’ how cigarettes can kill you and seeing a preview for the latest animated film. Some, however, give you an option. ‘Pick a side,’ they say. I’ve run into this twice recently – with the G.I. Joe DVD and The Break-Up DVD . At first I thought it was a cool concept. Maybe, if you pick Cobra’s side, there’s an alternate ending? Or maybe some special features --- like an in-depth look at Storm Shadow’s sword training. If you pick the side of the Joe’s, maybe there’s a look at their stunt training. No, no, and no. I went with Cobra and it takes you to the exact same screen, with the exact same features, as it does when you pick G.I. Joe. Same thing with The Break-Up .

13 Body Swap Movies

In honor of Friday the 13th, I figured we'd count down some of the best body switch movies. There's still time left in the day for this to happen to you, so don't wish on any shooting stars, be careful if you're making a birthday wish, don't throw coins (or peeing, for that matter) into any fountains and avoid any kind of voodoo magic men. You may also want to avoid Aztec statues, necklaces and magic dust. Otherwise you may end up like some of the people on this list: 13. The Change-Up Number 13 is the most recent body swap movie. Released in 2011, the movie is about two men who switch bodies after being struck by lightning while peeing into a fountain. The result? They swap bodies. Dave (Jason Bateman) is stuck in Mitch's body. Mitch (Ryan Reynolds) is stuck in Dave's body. At the beginning of the movie the two are envious of each other's lifestyles. By the end of the movie they've grown as human beings and appreciate where they are...
